David studied Art for many years as a young man and found Watercolour to be his favoured medium. He moved from London to Buxton in 1990 to be surrounded by the beautiful Derbyshire countryside and give him the opportunity to live, work and raise his family in this picturesque rich area.
For a few years he ran a Gallery and Framing business within the town but eventually decided to concentrate more on his own art, taking commissions and becoming part of the multi-artist venture that is the “Gallery In The Gardens” project within Buxton’s famous Pavilion Gardens.
David’s work has a real feel of its own and his attention to detail within his chosen medium really brings out the life in a subject, something that has given rise to clients often returning time and time again to add another piece to their collection.
In recent years David has also taken on more teaching work where he is to be found passing on his experience to budding artists in the area through the Lifelong Learning scheme and Private Classes.
